Inverted ("flipped") my classroom and integrated collaborative active learning into my classes in the 1980's well before it became popular. Created the online mathematics program for Clark College and started teaching online in 1999. Developed twelve online mathematics courses including the first ever fully online Calculus I-II-III for STEM courses in the northwest. Full teaching load online since 2006. Co-coordinate online maths program and faculty at Clark College where we offer 25+ online and hybrid mathematics classes per quarter.

Personal Information

Live in southwest Washington state on five acres at 2200 feet overlooking the Columbia River. Married with a teenage daughter and blue heeler puppy one of whom we home-educated (through to college). Serve on the executive boards (as webmaster) of two non-profit organizations: WAMATYC and Cascadians Against Methanol. Advocate for persons exposed to diethylstilbestrol (DES). Climate science activist. Eclectic learner. Enjoy web design, coding, reading, hiking, camping, and travel. H2O addict. Avid walker "10K a Day".
